Legal affairs
"Portal Croatia", the Internet service owned by Bias d.o.o., Savska cesta 11, 10 000 Zagreb, Croatia (hereafter: BIAS), guarantees the provision of intermediary services in the sale of accommodation capacities via the Internet, except in special circumstances such as war, social unrest, strike, death or illness of provider and similar.
Our online booking request can be submitted by a person of age (hereafter: the Client).
The lessor or the travel agency on site that is responsible for the requested accommodation unit (hereafter: the Agent) ensures all kinds of support to the client from arrival to departure.
Privacy statement
Privacy statement serves us for protection of privacy of our users. You can look at www.portal-croatia.com pages for free, without any commitment of revealing your identity or leaving any kind of your private data. In case that you decide to use our services, it's necessary to leave us your personal data, so that we could complete your reservation and to lease asked service. Your personal data remains protected. We assure you that we are collecting only information that we need to complete our procedure of reservation of our service. In that process we are using only information that we receive directly from you.
Bookings & payments
Upon receipt of the booking request, e-mails containing the information about the request are immediately sent to both the client and the agent.
The agent will check the availability of the requested accommodation unit and confirm to the client if the booking can be made or otherwise offer substitute possibilities.
BIAS will then send an invoice for advance payment to the client containing all necessary information.
After the advance payment has been made, BIAS will then send a voucher to the client confirming his/her status as the user of accommodation services.
The rest is paid directly to the agent on arrival.
Payment methods
  • Payment via bank remittance to the agency's foreign account.
  • Online credit card payment (American Express, Diners, Mastercard/Eurocard, Visa). If you decide to make an online credit card payment, by giving your credit card data you authorize the agency to charge you the price of your arrangement according to certain payment dynamics.
  • Payment made to the agency's giro account (inside Croatia).
  • Other information
    The price of accommodation includes the basic services as described beside the requested accommodation unit. Special services (described as "additional services", "by arrangement", "upon request"…) are not included in the price unless specified differently. The client must list these services when sending a booking request.
    The price does not include travel insurance.
    The offered accommodation units are described according to the official categorization of the competent institution, and on the basis of the actual condition.
    The Client's request for a change in the booking request will be accepted if possible. The Client will be informed about the potential expenses caused by such a change.
    The Client is responsible for any luggage that is destroyed, damaged, lost or stolen inside the accommodation unit.
    Passenger's right to changes and cancellation
    If the guest wishes to cancel the reserved accommodation, they have to do it in writing (via email, fax or ordinary mail).
    The date when the agency receives the notification of the cancellation represents a basis for the calculation of cancellation charges in the following way:
  • for a cancellation occurring up to 36 days before the start of using the reserved service and in the name of handling and administrative charges the agency charges 20% of the total price of the reserved accommodation. The rest of the money is returned to the guest at the expense of the receiver.
  • for a cancellation occurring from 35 to 22 days before the start of using the reserved service the agency charges 40% of the total price of the reserved accommodation.
  • for a cancellation occurring from 21 to 15 days before the start of using the reserved service the agency charges 60% of the total price of the reserved accommodation.
  • for a cancellation occurring from 14 to 8 days before the start of using the reserved service the agency charges 80% of the total price of the reserved accommodation.
  • for a cancellation occurring from 7 to 0 days before the start of using the reserved service the agency charges 100% of the total price of the reserved accommodation.
  • if the guest does not show up at the destination or cancels the arrangement upon its beginning, the agency charges the whole amount.
